Nandinatha Sampradaya Hinduism

Tāndava Nadesan is an English born convert to Sanatana Dharma(Hinduism) currently living in the North of England. By profession he is an Information Technology specialist working in the IT department of a financial services company. At present he is an uninitiated follower of the The Kailasa Parampara of the Nandinatha Sampradaya, a śaiva paṁtha (शैव पंथ) school of Hinduism, that is one which worships Shiva as the ultimate God. He was brought up as a Christian, but after a brief spell of Agnosticism and a short time attending a Unitarian Church he found his spiritual home in Hinduism. He is the author of the blog, Western Hindu, which he hopes is a resource for other Western converts to Sanatana Dharma. Hinduism is so diverse that nobody can speak for all Hindus, and therefore he does not feel qualified even to speak for his own school. Therefore all of his thoughts and words should be taken simply as his own.
Art MacAilein is an American convert to Hinduism, having taken spiritual initiation from a monk of the Ramakrishna Order — a religious society dedicated to the acceptance of all religions via the Indian philosophical system of Vedanta. A native of Georgia, Art was reared in a Southern Baptist Church. He vehemently rejected Christianity at an early age and went through several spiritual phases before taking up the practice of meditation and discovering the ancient beauty of Hinduism. Meditation allowed him to not only make peace with Christianity, but to find the wisdom and beauty in all the great religions. And the Ramakrishna Order gave him a spiritual home at the feet of Sri Ramakrishna. Art is a father, part of a multi-religious household, a nature lover and hammock camper, an amateur author, and a sap for stray animals. He writes about religion and spiritual practice at the Bamboo Thoughts blog.
